This is the section of stream where drainage water is filling at a rate of 6 gallons per minute.
Aurele LaMontagne works with a couple of his students to plant the containered sedges.
For the smaller containerized sedges a broom handle was an effective tool to dig the holes.
Here is a good example of teamwork.
Look close and you can see the planted sedges.
Andy Brunelle gives direction to students planting a portion of the upper channel.
Look at the bank behind the students and you can see the wet area where the plants are located and a dependable area with sufficient moisture.
The students did not at all mind getting out of the classroom and standing in a cool stream.
